At the heart
of the Festival is a giant book sale featuring over 12,000 new and gently
used books in every category including contemporary and classic fiction,
mystery, biography, history, and politics, an extensive collection of art books, as well as cookbooks and gardening titles.
There's also a special Kid's Corner for young readers and a media
rack full of CDs and audio books. All books are carefully edited, sorted, and displayed for easy browsing; the stock is replenished continuously throughout the sale. Best of all, everything is very affordable priced, with most titles just $1 to $3. Proceeds from the Festival of Books help to support artsVOYAGE, Spencertown Academy's innovative arts in education partnership with the Chatham public schools and spoken word programs at the Academy throughout the year. |
