AND MORE THAN 10,000 BOOKS!

Don't miss the second annual Festival of Books, a celebration of books and reading for the whole community. This year's Festival will feature over 10,000 new and gently used books at very affordable prices, plus two full weekends of authors' readings, panel discussions, children's programs and other special events.



Friday, September 7

FESTIVAL OF BOOKS PREVIEW PARTY
6:00-8:00pm - $25

Enjoy fine wines and seasonal hors d’ouevres while bidding on a selection of rare books and first editions in a silent auction. At 7:00pm get first pick of over 10,000 wonderful new and used books. Click here to

Saturday, September 8

A celebration of books and reading for the whole community. Over 10,000 new and gently used books in every genre on sale at very affordable prices. Inventory is well-organized and easy to browse. Come early for the best selection.
Authors' readings and book signings, panel discussions and special events throughout the day.

BOOK BREAKFAST WITH CLIFFORD, THE BIG RED DOG
9:00am - FREE

A kid friendly breakfast  with readings by three very special children's book authors and illustrators - Marc Rosenthal, Phooey, Mark Teague, How do Dinosaurs go to School?, and Rose Kent, Kimchi and Calamari.  Plus a special visit from everybody's favorite crimson canine, Clifford the Big Red Dog.

FESTIVAL OF BOOKS

All books half-price on final day. 
A celebration of books and reading for the whole community. Over 10,000 new and gently used books in every genre on sale at very affordable prices. Inventory is well-organized and easy to browse. Unsold books will be donated to the library at the Hudson Correctional Facility; children's books will be distributed through LINC, a children's literacy program in Hudson, NY. 

Wednesday, September 19
SHAPE- NOTE SING
7:00-9:30PM - Free
Monthly community sings focused on the American tradition of shape-note singing, a joyful, spirited, and democratic singing tradition. No auditions or performances, just singing for the pure joy of it. Listeners, beginners, and people of all ages are welcome. Meets third Wednesday of each month.

COMMUNITY EVENT: SATURDAY NIGHT LIV
7:30PM - $20 / $15 members, seniors, students

An evening of music, original comedy, and variety sketches featuring The Really Convincing Players, hosted by Liv Cummings. Presented by Columbia Arts Team.

Friday, September 28
FAMILY DRUM CIRCLE
6:00PM - Free
The drop-in Drum Circle meets the forth Friday of each month and is free of charge. No experience necessary. Participants of all ages are encouraged to bring  percussion instruments, including hand drums, bells, shakers, and homemade instruments; some drums will be provided. Facilitated by Steve Collins.
